we are doing.
How We Got Here
Owners, Ann Brooks and Kent Lemburg began Soulstice in 2004 to
provide skilled manual therapies to persons undergoing any type of
surgical trauma. Along with their specialty,
Peri-operative Therapy, the goal of Soulstice is
to offer quality general Health Maintenance
massage therapy for persons with general aches and pains, or simply
for those who would like to relax and feel great in their body.
What Does Massage Do?
From an outsiders perspective it's not difficult to understand
that massage stimulates soft tissue. Massage increases circulation
to bring additional blood flow to a desired area. Increased blood
flow brings oxygen and nutrients to traumatized areas, bringing in
the "good stuff' and, therefore, flushing out the "bad stuff".
Here's where the exciting additional benefits begin to
Psychological benefits for post-surgical clients
"Knowledge is experience. All the rest is just
information." How a client will respond and react to any type
of surgery is truly unknown until the patient undergoes their
procedure. After their surgery, many patients are left on the other
to fend for themselves without the support of friends, family or
loved ones. The patient's usual 'supporters' either haven't been
told about the modest surgical procedures, or simply unable to
support and encourage the patient merely out of industry
Soulstice has supported, guided and encouraged hundreds of
patients throughout their surgical recovery process. For instance,
we understand issues such as post-operative depression and
Consciously, patients desire a quick recovery. Physical bodies,
on the flip side, have their own recovery agenda. These two parts
usually have very different timetables. Soulstice helps chart out
the path of recovery, so that the conscious and the physical
aspects can heal in unison.
Physical Benefits for post-surgical clients
Surgical procedures are traumatic for our bodies. Each and every
procedure has its own physical ramifications. Soulstice educates
the patient on proper ways to exercise, stretch, and be aware of
postural problems associated with their surgical procedures.
