Scars are a necessary outcome for those receiving a surgical procedure and usually thought of as being only visible externally. Scars are basically unorganized collagen. After the scar has played its important role of adhering the surgical site, the original scar tissue is no longer needed and the skin remodeling phase of scar healing can take place.

We're finding great success with the use of cupping therapy and our post operative clientele. Wth traditional massage therapy techniques, we are most often pressing and pushing into the soft tissue to stimulate blood circulation and create myofascial relief. With the cupping technique, we are actually lifting tissue and fluids beneath the surface of the skin. This allows for greater movement of soft tissue.
